Teaming up in March 2008, Jan and Sven were instantly hitting off
with each other. Within three weeks six great melodic rock gems
were written and demoed.
HIGH ROAD EASY were born.
Blessed with one of Germanys finest rock voices, Jan Knopf shines
in all HIGH ROAD EASY songs.
Riffs, grooves and keyboard hooks are delivered by multi-
instrumentalist / producer Sven Horlemann to suit Jan‘s voice.
The missing puzzle was found in Berklee educated drummer
Magnus Brandell, who studied polyrhythms with professors
Mike Mangini and Skip Hadden. Magnus grooves deliver the
perfect playground for Sven and Jan.

Founded in 2008, HIGH ROAD EASY is a German hard rock band with 4 full album releases. The debut album ‚Hotter Than A Thousand Suns‘ was released 2009 worldwide via CD Baby and was well received. It generated genuine interest by legendary producer Beau Hill (Ratt, Warrant, Winger, Europe …) who personally contacted the band: ‚I'm listening to your music right now... I like what you're doing... Great material, and I dig Jan's vocal approach , very stylistic… I really like DONT WAIT FOR ME... killer arrangement.‘ 15 busy months later HIGH ROAD EASY delivered their second album ‚drive‘. In some places ‚drive‘ rocks harder, but manages to be more melodic than the debut. 2015 finally saw the release of the aptly titled third album "III". Again the bar was raised. "III" is more vocal heavy, both diverse and highly melodic. Finally, the self-titled new album ‚HIgh Road Easy‘ was made available in 2020.
